Disclaimer
General information only
Everything published on China Sourcing Guide — guides, explainers, and tools — is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It is not professional, financial, legal, tax, or customs advice. Importing goods involves contracts, regulations, and financial risk; if you need advice for your specific situation, consult a qualified professional such as a customs broker, freight forwarder, or trade lawyer.
Things change — verify before acting
Market prices, freight rates, currency exchange rates, platform rules, tariffs, and customs regulations change frequently, sometimes with little warning. A price range or rate that was accurate when we published or updated a page may be outdated by the time you read it. Always verify current prices, rates, and regulations with your supplier, forwarder, or the relevant authority before making decisions or commitments.
Tools produce estimates, not quotes
Our calculators and estimators (shipping costs, landed costs, currency conversion) produce rough planning estimates to help you sanity-check your numbers. They are not quotations, and they do not account for everything a real shipment involves — fuel surcharges, remote-area fees, port charges, customs duties based on actual valuation, minimum shipment charges, and many other variables are simplified or excluded. Treat tool outputs as a starting point for discussion with your supplier or freight forwarder, not as a final figure.
